Supply Chain



The Manager, Supply Chain is responsible for the production schedule, materials, and warehouse, and all in/outbound material movements.  In addition, the individual will identify and implement opportunities for improvement and efficiency in planning, scheduling, and inventory practices.  Promote continuous quality improvement and Lean manufacturing environment.


The Manager, Supply Chain Reports to the Plant Director

Key Responsibilities
  • Control all warehouse activity including the detailed planning and scheduling of work orders, ensuring required materials are available upon order release, and tracking work orders to ensure timely completion.

  • Provide tactical scheduling and strategic long-range planning expertise to our production leadership team. Coordinate, review, plan and schedule input from all functions to develop and maintain Integrated Master Plans (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for programs using Microsoft Project or similar software.

  • Manage inventory levels of raw materials, by-products, and finished goods. The individual will optimize the inventory level of raw material by understanding PET market fluctuations and consumption by the production lines.

  • Ensure all inbound and outbound shipments conform to rPlanet Earth’s specifications.

  • Lead efforts to uncover root-cause and develop a permanent resolution on issues found during product builds as required.

  • Identify and support improvement opportunities for product yield, shrink, quality, safety, cost and team efficiency.

  • Develop and support efforts to streamline assigned value streams and automate production processes as applicable.

  • Ensure work is scheduled and prioritized accurately and efficiently, and resources allocated appropriately.

  • Ensure that standard run-times and product flow per operation and/or SKU are realistic, accurate and harmonious to Lean manufacturing concepts.

  • Maintain lines of communication to learn of necessary changes to supply/demand detail and to respond effectively to completion impediments.

  • Collaborate with production leadership to develop effective material transfer and replenishment systems to support Lean manufacturing methods.

  • Bachelor’s degree or five (5) years of manufacturing supply chain experience

  • Two (2) years of scheduling experience with MS Project or similar scheduling software

  • Four (4) years of practical experience with ERP/MRP systems in a production environment

  • Familiarity with Lean principles, Six Sigma, and Kaizen

  • Experience writing queries with SQL

  • Must be available for all shifts, extended hours, and weekends as needed

  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs. unassisted
